With the childhood obesity epidemic on the rise and with the Millennial generation about to comprise the majority of the workforce, the nation’s economy will soon be faced with an overwhelming economic problem.” (Barkin) This research shows how obesity is indirectly impacting the nation’s workforce, which means healthcare and other diseases affect how someone is able to perform in the workforce.
